クラナド - CLANNAD

Key has my absolute approval on this. Really, I can't seem to find much cracks in the series at all. When an anime makes you depressed for three days, you know it'll become an effective drama serial. Alot of baw, alot of self-composure, alot of thinking why the world we live in is suddenly shrinking.

If you are the intrapersonal sort, I guess you'd be able to fully understand the message Clannad brings across. Nagisa-chan fulfills what one would call the 'timid, no confidence, full-of-heart-and-soul' roles (I can't explain this very well). I salute the attitude to reform her dream club, to perform on stage. Okazaki-san is one-of-a-kind. No wonder the other girls want to cling onto him as well.

I'd say the arcs are told at a flavour just right. Tomoyo kicks are way epic (just look at the combos). I wonder what would happen if Sunohara were to be designed on par with Imadori...

By the starfishes and dangoes, I'd try my best to avoid such storylines in future.

ときめきメモリアル ~Only Love~ - Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~

I had to take time to fine-tune myself to this art style (The people looked weird initially, nope, nothing to do with the anime, probably my brains). I could catch no ball during the first few episodes. Ehh... but the story gets better later, so no worries.

Amazing that this came from a MMO, I never expected that one coming. What would happen if in reality,  you had the entire school chasing after you? Scary huh? Sounds quite fun, that should be how exciting campus life should be. Better still, so much freedom to do what you like in school, what you wear (I don't recommend those fancy hairbands or whatever you call them), what events to host (those student council events are damn epic). Aoba-kun should learn better to appreciate the new high school environment.

The harem isn't so fantastic, more like drama to me. Average female characterization here don't seem to bring out the feeling to the max, you know, the feeling ah~. Of all 25 episodes, I can only say that the last few were the best. The anime didn't seem to have a balanced climax, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

" Aoba Riku has just transferred to a new high school because of his father's job, and things aren't quite what he expected. The headmaster's secretary controls the school while espousing the virtues of academic freedom, the teachers are even stranger than normal teachers, and half the student body is walking around with animal ears on. On his very first day, Riku is unfortunate enough to find himself at the center of the student council's latest event, which has him running for his life. All this on top of the normal high school rigour of popularity contests, crushes, and homework makes it unsure whether Riku will be able to survive this new school. " - ANN

スクールランブル二学期 - School Rumble Ni Gakki

Standards have changed as compared to the first semester. More drama, less laughs. Whatever happened to the fun side of Kobayashi-san? Looks like the producers decided to take another direction. Are anime sequels always like that?

But it ain't too bad. The drama's pretty easy to catch on - I admit, the later part of the series made me baw abit. More characters, more personalities. Lala-chan is awesome man... - manly and straightforward, (Hmph) I approve. We got to see the softer side of Ojo-sama, that was mentally appealing enough. I can't understand how Harima still cannot give up - now that's how love should be. (Ok, I agree that it might be very irritating)

I'm curious as to know what the hell the producers were thinking when planning the episodes. How the heck could you consider that a, don't say good, passable ending? Seems like forcing viewers to read the manga. The last episode is definitely not approved. Worse still, no continuation to the series, a total crash to the whole plot developed for two seasons.

スクールランブル - School Rumble

Just when I thought One Piece and Gundam SEED were cartoons, this crap changed my life (good crap actually). School Rumble brings out the essence of how it feels like to be a high school student in Japan. Forgive me if I'm wrong: my first completed-every-episode-diligently series, so pardon me.

The story is ok ~~ it flows, so that is all there is to it. The display of everyday-school life tweaked with fun, looks ideal eh? Unfortunately, wishful thinking in reality, though I might say that how nice it would be if this really happened in today's boring and subjective society. The want to express your affection to another, especially when initiated by a girl - ooh... how nice...

The personification of Tenma-chan wasn't that fantastic, but nonetheless passable. I think Harima did a better job than the rest of the cast - dang, just how it covers feelings of love to getting screwed in 90% of all events (thank Hanai for that. I guess that's how two nitwits deal with situations and each other) That brought vital substance out from the anime. Without Harima, School Rumble might've flopped flat.

Jackie just jacked me into the world of anime.
